Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2

The sequel to Wreck-It Ralph takes place six years after the events of the first film. We watch as these loveable characters are unleashed into the chaotic universe that is the internet when a Wi-Fi router is brought to the arcade. When Vanellope requests a site from the Google Search Bar that is “super intense and really nuts,” the characters are thrown into the world of Disney princesses, stormtroopers, muppets and avengers, resulting in a never before seen conglomeration of characters.

Bad Times At The El Royale

This suspenseful thriller takes place at a vintage and lavish Californian hotel that has past its heyday. The entire film takes place over the course of one tumultuous night. Jon Hamm makes an appearance as Don Draper’s less successful hipster twin Laramie Seymour Sullivan, the vacuum cleaner salesman. The director, Drew Goddard, has also previously directed The Cabin In The Woods, a horror parody that plays with the cliches and conventions of campy slasher flicks.

BLACKkKLANSMAN

This film follows the true story of Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) who was the first African-American detective in the Colorado Springs Police Department. In an investigation Stallworth infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan, even acquiring a Klan certificate of membership, signed by former Klan leader David Duke. He framed and hung the ironic document in his office. The film is directed by Spike Lee, and stars John David Washington (Ballers), Adam Driver (Star Wars, Girls) and Topher Grace (That ‘70s Show).

The Happytime Murders

Love The Muppets? Love gratuitous amounts of senseless violence? If yes to both then The Happytime Murders are for you. This film puts a twist on the classic buddy cop comedy. We follow Detective Connie Edwards (Melissa McCarthy) and private investigator and puppet Phil Phillips (Bill Barretta) as they traverse the sleazy underbelly of Los Angeles. Do not be fooled by the cutesy puppets this film is rated R.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

For all the Marvel fans demanding that Miles Morales finally have his moment in the spotlight as Spiderman, this film is for you. With its unique and stunning animation style and hilarious quips, the film gives us a fresh perspective on the Spiderman Universe. Familiar characters include an older more weathered Peter Parker who adopts the role of Miles mentor, and Peter’s love interest Gwen Stacy.
