Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has taken to Instagram to share a ‘no makeup’ selfie, showing off a face full of freckles. Edwards shared the selfie, discussing her insecurities as a child, and how she’s embracing her appearance now.
“Growing up I was always insecure about the freckles on my face,” Edwards shared in the caption to her photo.
“Over the last couple of years I’ve started to embrace them and don’t feel I need to hide them anymore.”
Fans are used to seeing Edwards in full makeup on her Instagram feed. This is the singer’s first time sharing a no makeup selfie, and she was greeted with nothing but positivity from fans and supporters.
This was not the first time fans have seen the pop star bare it all on Instagram. Edwards uploaded a semi-nude photo last month, showing her off her freckles and a scar running down her ribs from surgery she had as a child.
Edwards captioned the image, “Mermaids have freckles and scars too… embrace them. I think they’re beaut!”
She has now joined the likes of Kylie Jenner, Zendaya and Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart who are taking to Instagram to share their ‘no makeup selfies’.
