The world sadly lost a comedy legend when Robin Williams passed away nearly four years ago.
As fans, we were left heartbroken by the suicide of the comedian and actor. His sudden death marked the day laughter died.
Now a new documentary takes a look at the Oscar-winner’s life and work, highlighting his days at the performing arts school Juilliard, his fame on TV’s Mork & Mindy, comedy shows to his movie career and his confessions about his alcohol and drug issues.
Directed by Marina Zenovich, Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind is mostly told through the Aladdin star’s voice and using never-before-seen footage with appearances by friends and peers such as Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, David Letterman, Steve Martin and Pam Dawber.
The intimate portrait has been well received with a 97 per cent critics’ approval score on Rotten Tomatoes.
