After Splendour in the Grass 2018 announced their headlining act would be Kendrick Lamar, speculations were flying as to wether Lamar would be playing sideshows as SITG2018 sold out in a mere 25 mins. But of course after the release of Lamar’s Award Winning Album ‘DAMN’ in 2017, it was only fitting the rapper play a series of sideshows and It would also be the rapper’s first time on Australian Shores since 2016.
On the 26th April music fans across the country were treated to the news that Lamar would bring forth a FULL AUSTRALIAN TOUR with tickets going on Sale on Monday 30th April 12:00pm for the Sydney crowd via Ticketek.
As expected, tickets sold out in a mere 2 mins but fans rejoice, a second show was added for Wednesday 25th July 2018 and those tickets were released at 2pm 30th April 2018 – which it is my belief that the GA tickets are now SOLD OUT and you can currently only buy single ‘A Reserve’ tickets, which is cool if you want to go by yourself.
Sydney and Melbourne concerts sold out in record time and fans are absolutely beside themselves, including I, myself who sadly missed out. But have no fear, second party sales sites are currently re selling the tickets and they are going anywhere between $230-$1000.
To those lucky enough to score themselves a ticket, Kudos to you! For now, Spotify will meet my needs and I will have Kendrick on repeat up until his return down under.
