Comic book fans and moviegoers brace yourself, the first trailer of Aquaman is out.
Warner Bros and DC released the preview of the highly anticipated superhero film at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend.
Expectations were high for the King of the Seas’ first solo movie and the sneak peek did not disappoint fans.
The first look of the fantasy action flick brought the house down, ensuring fans there is hope on the DC franchise, following the dismal critical and box-office performance of Justice League.
Director James Wan and cast attended the annual event to present the latest DC film.
“I wanted to create a superhero film that we’ve never quite seen before,” Wan said at the convention before unleashing the trailer.
“I wanted our film to be more unique. So my movie plays more like a science-fiction fantasy film than a traditional superhero movie.”
Aquaman sees Jason Momoa reprises his role as reluctant heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, who must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world just as his brother, Orm (Patrick Wilson) seeks to unite the seven kingdoms against the surface world.
Aquaman is scheduled for release December 13, 2018.
