The couple from Newcastle’s penthouse apartment sold for $2.3 million last night on The Blocktagon finale. Shay and Dean profited a hugged $655,000 and earned an extra $100,000 for winning the competition. The high school sweethearts immediately said how proud they were of each other. Their mortgage is now paid off and they plan to finish some renovations of their own.
After a slow start to their auction, Luke and Ebony came in second place with their apartment selling for $2.2 million. Third was Caro and Kingi followed by Whitney and Andrew and lastly Suzi and Voni at $1.8 million.
The octagonal-shaped hotel which had been operating since the 1970’s and was revamped into six jaw dropping apartments by this year’s blockheads. Critics are saying the apartments are nowhere near worth what they sold for. They believe being so close to Alfred Hospital means parking is a problem it and the view is of a petrol station.
