After months of speculation, Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole have called it quits.
The couple announced their breakup with a joint statement on Twitter.
The One Direction star tweeted: “Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It’s been a tough decision for us to make.
“We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.”
Cheryl posted the same statement on her account.

The pair first met when Liam auditioned for the UK X Factor while Girls Aloud singer was a judge back in 2008.
The couple began dating in 2016 and welcomed son Bear in March 2017.
A year after the arrival of their son, the duo has been plagued with rumours their relationship was on the rocks.
The Daily Mail reported the twosome were having problems due to not spending enough time together.
“There are very real strains of trying to adapt to parenthood whilst being in the spotlight and having to appear as though everything is rosy all of the time,” a source told the news outlet.
“It’s is fair to say at the moment there is a lot of pressure on both her and Liam. Being apart isn’t helping that.”
In an interview with Evening Standard, Liam admitted that they had their share of problems, but said they weren’t about to break up.
The singer said “You know, we have our struggles. Like, of course, I’m not gonna sit here and say that everything’s absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that’s what a relationship is.”
A week later, Cheryl took to Twitter about the rumours Liam was cheating on her with a dancer from his tour.
