The last thing we need in our lives is something (apart from our phones) that keeps us up at night. Sadly, the new IT trailer has given us just that.
The trailer takes us to the town of Derry, Maine in the US where a group of kids are forced to face off against a creepy, downright terrifying clown named Pennywise.
Based on the trailer, the kids will be forced to delve into a number of scary and disgusting locations, including an old debilitated house and the town’s sewer system.
The movie is based on the book of the same name by horror author Stephen King, which was released in 1986.
However its real claim to fame is the 1990 miniseries of the same name, which gave kids everywhere a permanent fear of clowns and balloons.
It’s also the source of the iconic line “we all float down here” which means exactly what you think it does.
If you’re eager to see the film, you’ll have to wait quite a while. It’s being released on September 8th in the US, but sadly there is no Australian release date as of yet.
