Art lovers unite for what is set to be the biggest art event of the year!

Presented by Saatchi Art, The Other Art Fair is hitting Sydney’s shores again for it’s fourth year. Announcing over 100 artists, the prestigious event aims to showcase emerging independent Australian and international artists.

The event is expected to see more than 10,000 visitors engaging in interactive and educational activities. The National Art School will emphasise the process of art making in it’s most diverse form with eight of their accomplished artists across painting, sculpture, ceramics, photomedia, printmaking, and drawing. CEO, Steven Alderton, is also presenting the work of recent National Art School grads and artists from the APY Centre Collective – a collection of 10 Indigenous owned and governed enterprises.

The fair will feature the new ‘Artist Studio’ with live demonstrations presented by Pigment Lab with appearances by guest artists Luke Cornish and Scott Marsh (E.L.K). Free art tours and a Sculpture Garden presented by Ovolo will connect visitors to the natural world in a challenging and enlightening way, encouraging people to think about the world in its current state.

The Other Art Fair is part of the Art Month Sydney 2018 program, and comes as an opportunity for independent artists to sell their work directly to buyers, helping to promote and encourage artists in a modern society. This gives budding artists the chance to grow their careers and make their name in the art world. Artists at the fair were hand selected by a high profile industry experts including Barbara Flynn (Leading Curatorial Advisor), and Michael Reid (Contemporary Art Advisor, Co-Founder Art Month Sydney) just to name two.

“Our goal is to make visiting The Other Art Fair enlightening, thought-provoking and most importantly enjoyable. It’s for this reason we are able to attract thousands of visitors to every fair,” said The Other Art Fair founder Ryan Stanier.
