As Valentine’s Day approaches, so do the engagements. Actor Chris Pratt and his soon to be wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, recently announced their engagement via Instagram yesterday, Tuesday, 15th January.
“Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!” wrote Pratt in his Instagram post.
Pratt, 39, is best known for his role in Parks and Recreation and lead role in Guardians of the Galaxy. Schwarzenegger, 29, is an American author and the daughter of actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger and wife Maria Shriver. The pair began going steady last June and reportedly fell quickly for one another.

However, this is not Pratt’s first marriage. The Guardians of the Galaxy star was previously married to actress and comedian Anna Faris, which ended last year. Pratt and Faris were married for nine years and have a six year old son, Jack Pratt.
According to reports, Faris and Pratt remain on positive terms since their 2018 split. Faris responded to the couple’s engagement via Instagram, exclaiming, “I’m so happy for you both!! Congratulations!”
