Well, it’s only been three years in the making, but Lorde is finally back, and has put out a new single ahead of a new album coming some time this year.
Her new song, called ‘Green Light’, was launched on her new domain www.imwaitingforit.com, and follows a week’s worth of teasers and hints about the new album.

She’s also confirmed the new album will be called ‘Melodrama’, and posted the album cover (painted by American artist Sam McKinniss) on Instagram as the single dropped.

The song itself is a hauntingly beautiful track, flowing pretty seamlessly from a balladic opening into a driving chorus…you know what, why am I doing this? Let’s just let the woman herself say it best.
