In a recent interview with ShortList magazine, Leonardo DiCaprio revealed hat he once turned down the chance to play Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels. He’s one of the biggest stars in the world and Star Wars is the most successful film merchandising franchise, so could it have been a match made in heaven?

Although the part eventually went to Hayden Christensen, DiCaprio said “I did have a meeting with George Lucas about that, yes, I just didn’t feel ready to take that dive. At that point.”

He sparked curiosity about what could have been, but it will forever remain a mystery. However, he has not completely ruled out playing a superhero in the future saying “You never know, you never know.”
