Calling All Bookworms: Get on to goodreads

Ever feel the need to read but suffer from a lack of having a good book to read? I mean we have all gone to the bookstore, spent what felt like hours there and walked away with nothing because we didn’t know what to get or worse we buy something only to get a few chapters in and realise it is just a step up from being gibberish. Well, this doesn’t have to happen anymore! With goodreads you can avoid the fu@kery and get to the reading.

You can use their website as a search engine and get ratings and reviews on whatever book you are thinking of or you can scroll via genre and get their top picks. Alternatively, you can download the app, sign up with Facebook and connect with your friends to see what they are reading. Whether you are doing this to judge their terrible taste in books or to get the best books from your clued in friends, Goodreads is the place.

You can even join reading challenges just like the premier’s reading challenge you took when you were little except this time it is voluntary and you actually read the books rather than copy the codes into your log. Goodreads is revolutionary for the reader and although it isn’t exactly new it is underused so get on it if you aren’t already.
