After months of speculation, Drake finally confirms he has a son with French artist and former adult movie star Sophie Brussaux.
The rapper acknowledged his son on his latest album, Scorpion, in several tracks including ‘Emotionless’ and ‘March 14.’
The Degrassi alumni recently feuded with rapper Pusha T, who accused him of hiding a son named Adonis on his anti-Drake diss track ‘The Story of Adidon.’
On ‘Emotionless’, Drake raps;
“I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world/I was hiding the world from my kid.
“Breakin’ news in my life I don’t run to the blogs/the only ones I wanna tell are the ones I can call.”
“I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe. That s*** is in stone, sealed and signed. She’s not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine. S***, we only met two times.”
The artist also opens up about what it’s like to be a father when your son lives with his mother in a different country to you, adding:
“I’m out here on frontlines just trying to make sure I see him sometimes. It’s breaking my spirit. ‘Single father’ I hate when I hear it.”
“I challenged my parents on every album, now I’m embarrassed to tell them I’m a co-parent.”
“Always promised a family unit. I wanted it to be different because I’ve been through it.”
TMZ reports Brussaux was first spotted with Drake in Amsterdam in January 2017.
Five months later, the tabloid website says Drake’s baby mama was three-and-a-half months pregnant with his child and hired two attorneys to prove paternity and seek child support.
The Grammy winner’s reps denied the claims at the time, telling TMZ: “This woman has a very questionable background. She has admitted to having multiple relationships. We understand she may have problems getting into the United States. She’s one of many women claiming he got them pregnant.
“If it is in fact Drake’s child, which he does not believe, he would do the right thing by the child.”
