Disney has just announced that Indiana Jones will be returning for the fifth time. Who better to play the lead, than the legend himself Harrison Ford? The film, which will again be directed by the one and only Steven Spielberg, will be released in July 2019. By then Ford will be 76 years young, but there’s no stopping him from taking on this role one more time.
Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper and Shia LaBeouf were all suggested as replacements but Ford won’t be handing over his fedora just yet.
Disney chair Alan Horn said, “Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019. It’s rate to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”
The fourth fillm, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull released in 2008 so the fifth instalment will return 11 years later.
