Shut the front door! There is a new Snapchat filter and supposedly it is based off Sarah Hyland’s character in XOXO, her new Netflix movie.
The filter shrinks your face, makes your eyes look bulged (like an anime girl) and adds purple lipstick to your lips. It looks like a stylish alien, someone you wouldn’t run away from.
She made this announcement when she made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. “There was a Snapchat filter where they make your face very small like mine, and your eyes very big like mine, with purple lipstick,” she said.
She was not actually the first person to find this, her co-star Debra Messing and Adam Devine brought it to her attention. They snapchatted each other with the filter and asked if the filter reminded them of anyone.
Although many people are saying the filter is inspired by a Bratz Doll we definitely do see the similarities to Sarah’s character.
The movie shows a group of 20-something year olds on a crazy adventure to an EDM festival in America. The film follows six strangers whose world collides with one hopelessly romantic night. At the centre of this is Ethan, an up and coming DJ who wishes to play his track for the festival.
