It’s official, Britain’s best-known bachelor is off the market.
Hugh Grant married his longtime girlfriend, Swedish TV producer Anna Eberstein in a low-key civil ceremony on Friday.
The couple who have three children together, exchanged vows before close family members at Chelsea registry office, just a short distance from their West London home.
The newlyweds were casually dressed and showed off their wedding rings. Grant donned a navy lounge suit and tie while wearing a giant wedding ring that featured three red stones. His bride wore a miniskirt and fitted blouse, showing off a classic wedding band.
For years the Notting Hill actor has been reluctant to marry. He had a 13-year relationship with actress Liz Hurley, who remains one of his closest friends.
He also dated socialite Jemima Khan before they broke up in 2007.
“I’m not really a believer in marriage,” Grant told People in 2015. “I’ve seen very few good examples, maybe five, in my life, but I think otherwise it’s a recipe for mutual misery.”
Over the last seven years, the British actor has conceived 5 children, two of them with Chinese receptionist Tinglan Hong.
Four months after the birth of his eldest daughter Tabitha, in September 2011, Grant was expecting another baby with Eberstein.
Three months later, Hong was pregnant again, this time with their son, Felix.
Grant and Eberstein share a son, John, in September 2012, a daughter in December 2015 and a third baby earlier this year.
From the Aussie Gossip team, congratulations to the happy couple!
