Man uses drone to pick up Bunnings sausage sizzle

Bunnings sausage drone

In true Aussie spirit, one legend has taken getting his hands on a Bunnings sausage sizzle to a whole new level. He took it upon his noble self to pilot a drone to a Melbourne Bunnings carpark in an attempt to pick up one of the nation’s most iconic tuckers.

He attached a note saying, “Please buy a snag and put in bag. Here’s $10.” The lunch order was received and delivered to a fella chilling in a hot tub in his backyard.

A YouTube video was uploaded of the whole thing but has since been deleted. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority are investigating the incident. CASA spokesperson, Peter Gibson, said the man’s choice of food pick up potentially breaches a number of drone regulations. These included use of a drone within 30 metres of people, use out of the line of sight and use over a populous area.

Lowest prices are defs not the beginning for this bloke who faces fines of up to $9000 for breaching drone rules. That’s one bloody expensive sausage sizzle but can you really put a price on the satisfaction of shoving a Bunnings snag in ya gob?
