Doctors and nurses worldwide have put the call out to the general public on social media, urging them to do their part in fighting the current coronavirus pandemic.
Images and videos asking the public to stay at home and self isolate have been circulating social media, including images with doctors holding up placards saying, “We stay here for you, please stay home for us.” This plea follows a dramatic increase of confirmed cases of the virus globally and the struggle for health care systems to keep up with the number of patients coming through hospital doors.

Members of the public have been advised to self isolate and stay at home to avoid healthcare employees becoming unwell and being unable to come to work and fight the current coronavirus pandemic. Due to the increasing number of cases, there are calls for healthcare professionals to be supported by adding additional student nurses to shifts to help support an already overworked health care system.
This call has been echoed by official advice from the government, asking members of the public to do everything they can to reduce the number of confirmed cases, including working from home if possible, limiting social contact and practicing social distancing when in public.
So let’s do our part. Stay home for them, cause they’re working hard to keep us alive.
