Pete Davidson had deleted his entire Instagram feed.
Ariana Grande’s hubby-to-be wiped his social media account clean of all the posts, included several pics with his fiancee.
The SNL star posted an Instagram story, explaining why he took his photos down.
“No, there’s nothing wrong. No, nothing happened,” he wrote. “No, there’s nothing cryptic about anything. I just don’t wanna be on Instagram anymore, or on any social media platform. The internet is an evil place, and it doesn’t make me feel good. Why should I spend any time on negative energy when my real life is fucking lit. The fact that I even have to say this proves my point. I love you all, and I’m sure I’ll be back at some point. 🙂 Your neighbourhood goon, Pete.”
Meanwhile, Ariana turned off comments to all her Insta posts after Davidson deleted his content.
The pop star announced she’s taking a break from the social media platform because of negativity.
The One Last Time singer said she’d just do Snapchat for a bit and “take a breather” from Instagram and Twitter “for a little.”
The social media drama started when the comedian defended himself in the comments of Ariana’s tribute to her grandfather on the four-year anniversary of his death.
“Miss n love you forever my best friend #4years,” Grande wrote alongside a photo of herself and her late grandpa.
After Pete replied, “omg what a cutie,” fans assumed he was complimenting his fiancée and called his comment “unnecessary” and “inappropriate.”
Davidson was quick to clarify his remark, explaining that he was referring to Grande’s grandpa in his comment.
“Are you guys all insane? I was talking about how cute her grandpa is. What’s wrong with that?” he wrote. “You guys will really look for anything to attack people. It’s sad.”
