This is not a drill, folks – Jay-Z And Beyoncé have finally dropped their long-rumoured collaborative album Everything Is Love, and you can stream it now, as long as you have access to Tidal.
If you don’t, and we won’t judge you for it TBH, you can still listen to the new track ‘Apeshit‘, which Jay-Z posted to YouTube overnight, credited to the The Carters.
‘Apeshit’ sees a clearly salty Jay taking aim at the Grammys and the rumoured Super Bowl half-time show that he turned down, with lyrics that include:
“I said no to the Super Bowl / You need me, I don’t need you/ Every night we in the end zone / Tell the NFL we need stadiums too.”
In spite of what the title would suggest, everything is not necessarily love on the album, with Beyoncé also taking a crack at rival streaming services on ‘Nice‘, saying:
“If I gave … two f**ks about streaming numbers woulda put Lemonade up on Spotify. Fuck you.”
Rumours of a collaborative album from the married couple have swirled around for some time, with Jay-Z telling the New York Times that they were working on a project together and “using our art almost like a therapy session.”
The couple are currently on the road together for their On The Run II tour.
