The stars of Moonlight are red hot right now! The film won ‘Best Picture’ at the Oscars, much to the excitement of the cast (and the embarrassment of La La Land). Now, the stars of the film are at the centre of a gorgeous Calvin Klein campaign.
The Calvin Klein campaign ‘Moonlight Project’ features Mahershala Ali, who won ‘Best Supporting Actor’ for his role in Moonlight. A quick side note; Ali is the first Muslim actor to win an Oscar! The campaign also features his co-stars Trevante Rhodes, Ashton Sanders, and 12-year-old Alex Hibbert.
This is the first celebrity underwear campaign under Raf Simmons. Raf Simmons dressed the ‘Best Picture’ cast for the Oscars, so it’s no surprise that he has again chosen cast members for this shoot.
“It’s an acknowledgment of remarkable actors who are revealing something important of being a man today in what they do,” said Simons of the campaign.Moonlight, directed by Barry Jenkins, tells a coming-of-age story about a young black man growing up in a rough Miami neighbourhood and struggling to find his place in the world.
