The full list of Oscar nominations for 2017 has been announced and, hoo boy, is it making waves. After last year’s #oscarssowhite controversy, the awards panel has clearly made a concerted effort. Black actors have been nominated in every acting category for the first time in Oscars history.
There have been some controversial nominations, such as the massive 14 nominations won by ‘La La Land’. This ties the movie with iconic films ‘Titanic’ and ‘All About Eve’ for the most nominations in Oscars history. Another controversy was the nomination of ‘Suicide Squad’, which was widely regarded as one of the worst films of 2016.
