This joke was definitely taken too far.
With The Purge: Election Year hitting the American theatres now, a tweet has circulated around the Twittersphere making jokes about rape.
The twitter user @ogxbenson posted a tweet with a collage of Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Rihanna and young singer, Zendaya.
The photo was captioned ‘if the purge was real who y’all raping?’.
With the tweet going viral for its grim humour, Zendaya slammed the tweet posting on her personal:
This is absolutely disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. Is this really what my generation thinks is ok? https://t.co/brqVohkX9E

The user deleted his tweet but instead of stopping there, he tweeted, “Yo, Zendaya saw my tweet. It was lit”. Zendaya was quick to put him in his place by responding, “The only thing that’s lit is your immorality and inhumanity young man. I pray you find some sense.”
The singer also later tweeted, “People are sick…”
The stupidity and ignorance of @ogxbenson continued yesterday when he shared this photo posted by a girl who wanted to see the reaction if the roles were flipped.

Rape is not something to ever joke about. And thank you Zendaya for shutting down this Twitter troll.
