Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer has thrown a $10 million Great Gatsby themed company holiday party in San Francisco last week. Dressed as ‘head flapper’ she sat on a white armchair and posed for photos with her employees. The party held in a warehouse featured a gambling parlour, chandeliers and even a vintage Rolls Royce.

Eric Jackson, a managing director at SpringOwl Asset Management lashed out Mayer’s extravagant spending saying “She’s acting as if she’s the CEO of a $US30 billion company, but once you take away its stakes in Alibaba and Yahoo! Japan, core Yahoo! is really a $US3 billion company.”
