Last night in New York City, the annual Video Music Awards had the whole music industry buzzing, with legendary performances, questionable speeches and even a declaration of love. But just in case you missed all the craziness, we’ve wrapped it all up for you!

Rhi Rhi’s many performances

Leading up to being awarded one of the biggest accolades in music, The Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Rihanna took the stage several times showcasing her different musical styles which included her older stuff like “Don’t Stop the Music” and “Rude Boy” as well as her newer hits like, “Work” and “Bitch Better have my Money”.

And can we just talk about the adorable moment, Drake professed his love for Rihanna. Where has Drake been this whole time and where can we find a Drake for ourselves?

Beyonce stealing the whole show

Queen B slaaayyyeeeddd at this years awards, she not only scored eight Moon Man trophies including the biggest of the night for Video of the Year but recreated her visual album, “Lemonade” on stage and we like the rest of the world were left in awe. Her sixteen minute performance was full of female solidarity, epic dance moves and glimpses of savagery.

Kanye not learning his lesson the first round

It has become VMA tradition for Kayne to say something which makes you question humanity for a second. Before premiering his new video, “Fade”, he went on for four minutes talking about his rise to fame, his role models, his haters and some unnecessary stuff.

Alicia Keys leaving it all on the stage

From Rihanna’s multitude of performances to Beyonce’s ruthlessness on stage, this year’s VMA’s definitely were all about women power. And to perfectly illustrate that was Alicia’s Keys powerful speech on stage, making her mark without the need of back up dancers, autotune (cough cough) or even a touch of makeup.

It’s Britney bitch

Britney’s much awaited come back to the VMA stage had everyone talking, with a bit of help from G-Easy and a classic intro by Kim K, Britney definitely impressed us. If not by her vocals then most definitely with her dance moves. Girl can still move.
