Out of all the people not to nick a few hot chips off, it’s probably not a good idea to choose a police officer…
A woman in the US got a little too greedy in DC last week, when she was arrested for stealing three ‘fries’ from the on duty police officer.
The incident occurred in an Italian restaurant when the suspected drunk lady and her gal pal, who we assume were having a few too many glasses of red, decided it would be a good idea to approach the officer in uniform for a bit of a chat.
Turns out the playful banter was not to be replicated, and once the second ‘fry’ was stolen the officer went full blown stinge and stated in the Police Report – “I then politely asked D-1 to not do that again because I paid for that food and she was stealing from me and she could be arrested for theft of my food”.
But she didn’t miss a beat, allegedly replying “Well then you might as well take me to jail”. Unfortunately for her the officer wasn’t joking, the cop was for real and arrested the hungry lady.
She’s now up for theft charges (lol) with the investigation continuing, but surely she will just be slapped with a fine to repay the cost of the officers lost ‘fries’ or drunk friends across the globe could be thrown in gaol alongside her.
