A young boys life was tragically taken near a Walt Disney World Hotel. Coroner reports can confirm that 2 year old Lane Grave was drowned by an alligator who had been lurking in the murky water. No puncture wounds were found on the body.
Lane had last been swimming on the shores in the early evening while his parents were watching a movie outdoors at the Grand Floridian resort. This was around 9am.
The dad tried to pry open the alligator’s mouth in an attempt to save his son. Thankfully there were no other people in the water at the time of the attack.
Whilst the sign said not to swim in the water, it failed to mention that there could be crocs in the water. The lagoon was not recommended for recreational swimming.
While sheriff says site of #DisneyAlligator attack had “no swimming” signs, some ponds/lakes have gator warnings. pic.twitter.com/fp5R2HnurE

Everyone has decided to put in their two cents with some giving their sympathy to grieving parents who have been identified as Melissa and Matt Graves from Elkhorn, Nebraska.
A “No Swimming” sign does not mean “Beware of Alligators” #DisneyGatorAttack

Dear Internet, can we please have a bit more compassion for a family who saw their son dragged away by an alligator?!! #DisneyGatorAttack
