If there isn’t anything we love more then wearing pink on Wednesdays or Gretchen Wieners’ hair (we hear its full of secrets), then it must be the announcement that the Mean Girls musical is FINALLY happening.
Celebrating one of the groolest holidays in the calendar, the world was gifted with the news that the Mean Girls Musical will be taking the stage in Washington D.C. during Fall 2017.
BREAKING OCT 3rd NEWS! The “Mean Girls” musical is coming to Washington, D.C. Fall of 2017! #MeanGirls #OctoberThird #ThatsSoFetch #grool pic.twitter.com/oFfLmTFrAt

Earlier in the year writer of the 2004 classic, Tina Fey, told crowds at the Tribeca Film Festival that,
“We’re working on the musical adaptation, and thanks to Ellie Kemper’s pregnancy, we have this whole summer to work on it.”
The musical is being worked on by Fey, her husband Jeff Richmond (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and Tony Award nominated lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde) but there is no news yet about who will be cast to play the beloved Plastics.
Regardless, I don’t think this can get anymore FETCH.
With this announcement we can confirm that the limit of enjoying the gift that is Mean Girls really does not exist.
Happy October Third, losers!
