Kendall Jenner is one of our all time favourite models. Keyword being MODEL. Sure we’ll let her have the ‘reality tv star’ title too but there is no way in the world, in any way shape or form we’ll be allowing her to credit herself as a ballerina.
The 20-year-old was on the cover of Vogue Spain this month along with an editorial portraying a ballerina as she dances around in a tutu and ballet shoes. For those oblivious to the ballet world, this may seem like a harmless photoshoot. However, ballerinas across the globe have shown no remorse as they unleash their hatred and disappointment of KJ’s latest shoot.

Now I’m no ballerina today, but I did dance for over a decade as a young girl and the memories of blistered toes are bloody (pun intended) crystal clear. We envy Kendall’s luscious long legs but are far from impressed by the fact that she isn’t even en pointe correctly. In Australia, most dance supply stores won’t even give you pointe shoes unless you have approval from your dance teacher. So how the heck did Kendall get hers? Oh yeah, she’s probably got connections (in the illegal pointe shoes industry). Anyway, to see her prance around with such bad technique is insulting and quite cringe-worthy.
Just about every ballerina that also has a twitter account was quick to address this outrage.

We’re secretly hoping Kim Kardashian takes the bait on this one for a Keeping Up With Dance Moms crossover show. The likelihood of this happening is slim to none but it really would answer our reality show dreams.
Kendall, our advice to you is stick to modelling. We love you but let’s leave ballet for the ballerinas, they may seem graceful but wow they’re a feisty lot.
