Leighton Meester was famous for her brunette locks and array of satin headbands during her Gossip Girl days, but the Upper East Sider has pulled a Serena Van Der Woodsen and gone short & platinum blonde!

Leighton debuted her new blonde hair on Instagram, stating she was ‘having a blonde moment’ and was channelling serious vintage Hollywood vibes. Comments also flooded in comparing her new look to pop icon Gwen Stefani– and I totally see it!
The 31-year-old told People that the new look is going to take some getting used to, but knew it was time for a change.
“I don’t even feel comfortable saying that I just went blonde. It is a totally different colour of hair!”
Leighton’s colour transformation was executed at Nexxus Salon in New York by her colourist Aura Friedman, who pulled off total Platinum dreams!
