Queen of pop, Beyoncé, will be temporarily putting down the microphone to star in a new film directed by and starring Bradley Cooper.
Bradley Cooper is reportedly picking up the remake of A Star Is Born after Clint Eastwood backed out as director.
Beyoncé was interested from the beginning, when Eastwood was still in the directors chair.
“Beyoncé is a go,” a source told Page Six, adding that Cooper is on the hunt for the rest of the cast.
Beyoncé will take on the role of a young actress and singer trying to hit the big time, while Cooper will play a drunken actor on his decline. Beyoncé’s role was originally played by Judy Garland.
Beyoncé has not appeared on the silver screen in almost a decade, her last role was in Dream Girls.
Filming has not commenced. Stay tuned for more information!
