The 68th Primetime Emmys took place last night in downtown LA and by no surprises Game of Thrones pretty much stole the whole show and entered the record books AGAIN.

In a year filled with docos and mini-series taking the space on many of our screens, it was no surprise that with GoT, American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson was amongst the popular winners.

Here’s five of the top moments from the Emmy’s in case you missed out!

The Stranger Things cast took time off from the Upside Down to Funk up the show

The Stranger Things squad which needs absolutely no introduction, took the stage before the show kicked off and entertained the crowd with their own rendition of “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars. This was after they completely SLAYED the red carpet and made us wonder what the hell we were doing when we were twelve, thirteen or however old these kids are.

Kimmel took dabs at Donald Trump, Marcia Clark and Donald Trump Again

Sometimes you just don’t want to spend three hours watching famous (and rich) people get awarded for being famous (and rich), so like the vast majority of us, you just watch the opening monologue because it’s usually where these famous (and rich) people get down right ROASSSTEEED. Kimmel, in his six minute opening pretty much said what we’ve all been thinking about America this past year. That being how the f*ck is Donald Trump about to become the President of the most powerful country in the world AND how the f*ck did Marcia Clark lose one of the most straightforward murder (allegedly) cases in history.

Kimmel also handed out a few awards himself, our favorite being to Sarah Paulson and her decision to bring Marcia Clark as her plus one because,

everyone in LA knows, if you want to win, you sit next to Marcia Clark”.

PIVVVVOOOOT over because the Friends Cast pulled through

All our dreams and prayers were answered, when Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer i.e. Joey and Ross hit the red carpet and were part of the Emmy’s and man did the nostalgia hit hard. (We’re secretly still hoping for that full reunion)

Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang spoke about diversity, because what is an awards show without a discussion about diversity?

Winning the night’s first award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series, creators of Netflix’s “Master of None,” Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang, took a light hearted approach in addressing the lack of diversity (specifically asian) in Hollywood. Ending the speech with a call to Asian parents saying,

Just a couple of you, get your kids cameras instead of violins, and we’ll be all good”

Our fav BFF’s reunited

The ongoing feud between Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel never gets old and not by surprise it was one of our favorite moments of the night. Damon took to the stage to savagely comfort his best friend after he lost his award to John Oliver for Outstanding Variety Talk Series and in the process completely left Kimmel heart broken on stage. But like they say in Hollywood, the show must go on. How do you like dem apples now, Kimmel?
