2016 Lip Trends

Your makeup is not complete until you add some lippy and it can totally alter your overall look. We understand that red is probably, most likely, always going to look good but it’s time to take some risks. Here are three different lip trends that might be out of your comfort zone but won’t regret giving a go.

Colour Blocking

Brighten your lower lip by using a different lipstick shade to the top. To get the best colour, prep your lips by exfoliating and applying a concealer. Paint your upper lip with your desired colour and do the same for the bottom with a brighter colour.

Ombré

The ombré look took the world by storm with girls gradually dying their hair from one colour to another. However the ombré trend is just as stylish on your lips. Start by camouflaging your lips with concealer, outline with black (eyeliner is fine), apply red (or any colour lipstick) and BLEND!

Blurring

Although this may be hard to believe, blurring the edges of your lips actually makes your lips look bigger. (And in a world where Kylie Jenner is queen, this is super important.) Just take a small soft shadow brush or cotton tip and blend the outer edges for a youthful and stylish look.
