Turns out Gary Barlow was right all along – we just needed to have a little ‘Patience’. Take That have finally announced a return to Australia for a six show tour in November, for the first time since 1995. So they won’t be ‘Back For Good’, but they’ll be swinging through at least.
I’ve got to admit though, the fact that Gary and the gang were doing world tours in the year I was born is messing with me a little bit.
Let’s get the obvious bad news out of the way – there’s no Robbie and no Jason, after he left the band in 2014.
Well, I guess ‘Everything Changes’, right?
But Gary, Howard, and Mark are still heading back to Australia on 11th November 2017, to kick off what is promising to be a spectacular run in Perth, before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, before finishing the tour on Sunday 19th November in Newcastle.
‘Could It Be Magic’? You bet it could, and probably will.
Tickets will be available from 9am on April 13th from Ticketek. Dates in your diaries, everyone – and good luck holding back ‘The Flood’.
One thing’s for sure – despite what they told us in 1993 (‘Love Ain’t Here No More’), love is definitely still here in Australia for those boys, and another tour is only going to ‘Relight Our Fire’.
Now that I think ‘I’ve Said It All’, bring on November, because for some of us, this certainly will be the ‘Greatest Day of our Lives’.
