The clouds have rolled in, you’ve pulled the doona out of the cupboard, but it’s not really winter until the Sydney Film Festival arrives. Well unfortunately for your tan, the Sydney Film Festival is here! And the schedule will make you forget everything and just move from film to film.
There really is something for everyone at the film festival. Feeling strangely specific? Fancy a few films on Denmark? The film festival has it all and this handy guide divides it neatly into sections so that agreeing on a movie is a bit easier.
The film festival is happening from the 8th of June to the 19th in locations all across Sydney. There’s even a feature at the Drive In movie theatre in Blacktown so you can get your Grease on.
So check out the schedule here and cancel all your appointments for the next two weeks.
If you’re not sure what you like, here are a few films we’re looking forward to:
Swiss Army Man – a dark comedy starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe
Goldstone – a compelling rural mystery from Australian Ivan Sen
Thank You For Bombing – an engrossing fictionalised documentary about war correspondents
Love & Friendship – Steven Fry, Kate Beckinsale, Chloë Sevigny. Nuff said.
