First dates are slippery territory. You don’t know a lot about the other person, but (probably) enough that you know you want to be on a date with them. These 10 questions are perfect for deciding whether or not you have a future with the person sitting next to, or across from you.
- What toppings do you like on pizza?
- What’s your favourite snack for a movie?
- Do you wear pyjamas or sleep naked?
- How often, if ever, do you randomly feel the need to cry and/or scream?
- What’s your opinion on avocados?
- Do you believe in aliens and/or ghosts?
- Did you vote for Tony Abbott in the last federal election?
- If we lived in the era of Jurassic World, would you Chris Pratt and fight a dinosaur for me?
- Would you rather fight a horse sized duck or 100 duck sized horses?
- When was the last time you washed your hair?
If we’re being totally truthful, most of those are a terrible idea for a first date question, because there’s no universal language to make sure you know someone instantly. You have to give them a chance, and interrogation is probably not the best tactic to get someone to like you. If you really need help breaking the ice, just try talking honestly and openly about something you’re passionate about, or a movie you like.
