5 Tips for a healthier Easter

Chocolate

Easter is just around the corner and as much as you’d love to indulge in the goodness of those sweet, sweet Easter eggs with no limit, you just can’t do it to your body. Of course, it’s not going to be easy but with these 5 tips you can feel a little less guilty this Easter.

  1. Chocolate for dessert
Don’t eat those eggs on an empty stomach! Fill your body up with the nutrients it needs so that you’re full enough to not snack too much on chocolate.
  2. Sharing is caring
Keeping it all to yourself is a bad idea. Share your chocolates with friends and family, the more for them, the less for you.
  3. Exercise
The long weekend isn’t an excuse to not exercise. If anything, you have more time than usual to hit the gym or go for a run around the block.
  4. Raw Chocolate
Yes, there is such thing as ‘healthier chocolate’. It’s called cacao and it’s basically chocolate in its raw form with antioxidants, calcium and potassium. Then there’s also dark chocolate, which is also slightly better. The point is… you have options!
  5. Monitor
Download an app like My Fitness Pal or just write down everything that you’re eating to remember what you are putting into your body. That way, you can look at how much chocolate or other treats you can afford to have.
