Tony Abbott stood in the cold to campaign. No, seriously.

Auspol is slowly but surely rising to the level of ridiculousness we’re seeing in the US. While we don’t yet have a TV personality the likes of Donald Trump actually, legitimately running to be the leader of a country, we do have our former PM standing on a cold and rainy day handing out flyers.

It’s good to be at Manly Wharf on day 1 of the Federal Election campaign. @liberalpartynsw @liberalaus

That’s probably the only person who took a flyer from him, and by the way she’s leaning as far away as possible from him, it’s quite possible she mightn’t have even taken it. We’re honestly sort of in a state of shock that out former Prime Minister stood in the rain at Manly wharf to hand out flyers. Just look how sad he looks.

Looks like he’s going a bit far trying to stop the boats. In the words of this guy, throw the poor guy a god damn onion.
