Three male drug dealers have been arrested in connection to the suspected murders of Aussie surfers Adam Coleman and Dean Lucas in Mexico. The men have confessed they wore stolen municipal police uniforms and flashed “police-like” lights to stop the tourist’s van. The detained men have also admitted to shooting a “long-haired tourist” and then shooting a second man, driving a vehicle to another location and setting fire to it with two bodies inside.

Marco Antonio Higuera Gomez, chief prosecutor of Sinaloa told reporters “These people are part of a criminal group dedicated to vehicle thefts, drug dealing and with a history of committing murders.”

The two Australian surfers had driven from Canada to Mexico to join Coleman’s Mexican girlfriend in Guadalajara. DNA tests on the two badly burned bodies found in the van should be completed in the next week to confirm identities.
