Australians are commonly using the line ‘hot like an oven’ but Matt Moran has taken it one step further to prove how a car sitting in the sun can actually become an oven. The TV chef has partnered up with Kidsafe Australia to demonstrate the danger of leaving children in a hot car.
The launch of Moran’s ‘Unconventional Oven’ took place at Bondi Beach where media and onlookers watched as he prepared his signature Cowra lamb loin. He stunned the audience when he retrieved the lamb that had been cooking in the 72.5 degree heat of a car parked nearby.
“Australia needs to know that it’s not safe to leave a kid in a car, it is like an oven!”
Over 5,000 children are left in cars every year and parents need to be educated on how unsafe it really is. Look before you leave!
