At this point, I’m beginning to wonder who is doing the publicity for Aussie politicians. From #faketradie to Shorten catching a train (*GASP*), there is now officially a Liberal party snapchat filter.
So of course, we took to Snapchat to see for ourselves.
Seriously, Turnbull & Co, what the fuck? I can’t imagine anyone who’s on Snapchat using this filter unironically, and it’s pretty much just gonna be a shit storm of people making fun of politics trying to pander to the youth, while making uni degrees $100, 000 and refusing to legalise same sex marriage.
Twitter has had the usual on point response, with people posting their own Snapchat clips and pointing out how hilariously misguided this campaign tactic is.
The Liberal party just stepped up the Snapchat filter game to a whole new level. pic.twitter.com/qHqOW3LYyo

Can someone make a supercut of the first time people see the liberal party snapchat filter https://t.co/aChPZGCRsk

“How could a Liberal party snapchat filter go wrong” asked the liberal party who literally never get the youth vote

Luckily, the election shenanigans will finally be over by tomorrow, but then we also have to deal with overall auspol shenanigans, so like, we’re not sure how to feel about the whole thing.
Vote smart people.
