A 15-year-old boy has been thrown off a roof to his death by ISIS militants in Syria after being accused of being gay. The boy was accused of being engaged in homosexual relation with the prominent ISIS officer Abu Zaid al-Jazrawi. ISIS’s radical interpretation of Sharia law considers homosexuality an offence punishable by death. A witness claims the execution was public for many local civilians seeing the execution in Syria’s eastern city of Deir ez-Zor.
The United Nations estimates that ISIS has executed at least 30 people for being gay. It is also claimed that the ISIS militant that raped the young boy was spared a death sentence and only been demoted.
