Oh my lanta! The Fuller House season 2 release date has finally been announced.
And it looks like Christmas is coming early this year! The Netflix revival’s second season is set to premiere globally on 9 December, which means for once we’ll be one of the first countries to get something new. Thank God for time zones, people.
Neflix made the announcement after Candace Cameron Bure, who plays DJ Tanner, broke the news on The View yesterday morning.
Season 2 is set to be “holiday-themed,” with its episodes featuring Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve. It will span over several months and explore many new issues, including the evolving relationships between DJ, Stephanie, Kimmy and their children.
Some new guest stars will include the ‘New Kids on the Block’ boy band members, Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre and Jordan and Jonathan Knight. DJ’s ex boyfriend, Nelson, has also been re-cast by Hal Sparks and is set to appear in a few episodes.
Ever since we binge watched Fuller House’s first season in February, we’ve been dying to find out anything and everything that happened after the last episode. We especially want to know if DJ and Steve will ever become a couple again. Frankly, they belong together and they always have. No excuses.
However, our main concern is the absence of Michelle Tanner. We know the Olsen twins didn’t want to take part in the new show, and we kinda get it.
But would Danny Tanner really allow his youngest daughter to be absent for so long? After all, she lives in New York, not on Mars. It is possible to visit once in a while, Michelle. Jeez.
Come on, Mary-Kate and Ashley. Take one for the team!
