The ex-wife of recently deceased musician David Bowie was cut off from the outside world as a guest in the UK Celebrity Big Brother house.
After telling her the news off camera, she chose to stay on the show. She justified her decision by saying “If I don’t leave. I look callous. I’d prefer to be here but I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t.”
Broadcaster Channel Five has come under fire after broadcasting footage of Angie breaking down after learning of his death. Social media users are expressing their anger over the insensitivity of the private matter that should never have been aired.
“I haven’t seen him in so many years, I can’t make a big drama about it. I just feel like an era has ended, with his passing, I’m so very sad.”
“Stardust is gone,” she added referring to his 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust.
To make matters worse, Angie confided in fellow housemate Tiffany Pollard saying “David’s dead”. Tiffany was hysterical mistakenly thinking that other housemate David Gest had died in the house. She announced it to the rest of the housemates who ran to the bedroom to find Gest alive.
Some of the housemates were quick to last out on Angie saying “ That’s f**king sick, she needs to be taken out of here. Speaking ill of other people like that.”
Eventually John Partridge gathered everyone and revealed that it was the wrong David.
