When something’s good you gotta do it again, bigger and better. That is exactly the case for the Long Jetty Street Festival. After last year’s incredible success, the organisers are putting on another weekend of tasty bites, groovy tunes and a memorable movie.
Saturday the 19th of November will see the Long Jetty Foreshore transformed into a sunset cinema. The day will kick off with a FREE screening of the anime classic Ponyo. Fun festivities will commence from 4pm with food stalls, live music, popcorn and for the kids (or the inner child in all of us), some face painting. It’s guaranteed to be a scene of tushes on deck chairs devouring some nibblies and bodies relaxed comfortably on picnic rugs enjoying the outdoors.
Then the following day, Sunday the 20th of November, the LSJF will be in full force for a day filled with amazing stalls, art, yummy food and a must-see music line-up. With an expected 10,000+ patrons, this is one fine day you don’t want to miss out on.
The theme for 2016 is all about adding colour and character, so put on your best bright attire! Some retail highlights this year will be:
Little Wings Bag – Creator and Founder Steph Rattos designs amazing faux fur bags which are also hand sewn by her.
Octopus Garden – A florist founded by Lauren King & Elythea Doherty creating amazing artist designs like no other florist
Dapper Darlings Vintage – For all your vintage clothes and accessories from around Australia
Long Road Home – Owned and operated by Kylie Long, a beautiful and quirky home decor store.
Start your summer right and bring friends or the fam bam along to this fun-filled fest. See you there!
