It’s 3 o’clock in the morning and you somehow manage to walk your drunken self from your Uber to your front door. Your ears are ringing and after a solid 5 minutes of rummaging through your clutch to find your keys, you eventually throw yourself on to the goodness of your soft, reliable bed. Within seconds a distinct odour of beer reminds you of the moment a few hours earlier when you stumbled in your heels onto that 3/10 guy who’s schooner came flying and splashing across your arm. No wonder you stink.
You roll over to your side as you stare at your make-up smudged face in the mirror thinking ‘Girl, you need to have a shower.’ However, it’s not that easy when your mind says yes but your body says no. Next time you’re stuck in this situation (aka Friday night) here are some ways to freshen up without actually having to get in the shower.
1. Wipes are a girl’s true best friend
It’s almost the same as having a shower… well kind of! You might need to go through a few wipes in the packet but use them to wipe down your skin.
2. Make up remover
Raccoon eyes are just not a good look, ever! A bit of makeup remover over your face will work wonders for your skin and your sober self in the morning.
3. Exfoliate
Scrub scrub scrub! Get rid of any of that excess makeup or just grossness in general.
4. Moisturiser
It will give your skin the hydration it needs to. Most of them are scented so it will make your smell slightly nicer at least.
5. Deodorant
Use it. At least until you are actually able to shower it’s a good substitute to somewhat contain your sweaty, smelly self. Better yet, spray a little perfume and you’re good to go.
OR you could just take a shower the night before to avoid smelling like a dump truck the next day!
