So remember that resolution you made last New Years? Let’s be real… you more than likely did not keep it. The nail biting, the smoking and definitely the junk food eating did not come to an end. If you’re game enough to make a resolution again for 2016 then do it the right way.

First thing’s first, be realistic! Proposing to get a six pack is just setting yourself up to fail because it’s a long hard road to get there. A more realistic resolution could be to go to the gym at least twice a week.

Take your time in deciding exactly what it is you want to achieve. Don’t forget that it’s not the end of the world if you don’t know by midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Like most things in life, the key to success is planning! So you’ve decided to take up a hobby but considering you have zero knowledge on yoga, where do you even start? Creating a list of steps to take on your resolution journey makes it easier and more attainable.

Be vocal to family and friends about your resolution. In return, you’re going to get their support and who knows, you might even find someone with the same resolution and can motivate each other.

Tracking your progress is also a great way to see how far you’ve come and inspire yourself to not fall short of your goal. You went from smoking a pack a day to just half. It’s not much but it’s definitely progress and you’re just one step closer to achieving your goal.

Experts say it takes about 21 days for a new activity to become a habit and six months for it to become part of your personality. What they’re telling you is to STICK TO IT!

Don’t give up my friends and have the happiest of Happy New Years!
