Tinder has banned a user for life after he used offensive sexist and racist language. We’ve all seen the cautionary tales of some douchebag who thinks it’s fine to be abusive and rude in chat. This guy definitely took it to the next level.
Nick Vedovi seemed like a nice guy who was interested in meeting new people and having some fun. However (dun dun dun) that was obviously not the case.
In a scathing review of Vedovi’s Tinder practices, a former friend called Kevin Tran decided to post his friend’s experience with Vedovi. It was not pretty.

Using the derogatory slang ‘chink’, Nick roundly abused Tran’s friend for not replying quick enough. This disgusting behaviour continued in several messages where he slags off her appearance and calls her a c**t. Luckily, Tinder have had a quick and swift response to this.
Tinder’s Vice President of Communications and Brand has penned this open letter to Nick, calling him out on his behaviour and telling him what Tinder are doing to stop the harassment from men like him. Tinder have also decided to ban Vedovi for life.
“Hey Nick (and anyone who behaves like you),
We’re swiping you off the island.
Tinder has a zero-tolerance policy on disrespect. No racist rants. No sexist pigs. No trolling. No jerks who can’t get over their own inadequacies long enough to have a decent conversation with another person on Tinder.”
Talk about roasted! It’s safe to say that he won’t be swiping anyone too soon. He’s probably able to get around it with a new Facebook account, but it’s nice to see such a big brand taking on sexist and racist behaviour. Hopefully Nick will rethink the way he treats women.
