You know how all your friends tell you to just “Uber it” because you cannot be bothered driving all the way there? Well one woman “Ubered it” all the way to the hospital to give birth to her baby girl.

Rati Sinuraya, a first time mum went into labour on Tuesday morning after waking up with severe pains.

She didn’t know how long she would have to wait for an ambulance to arrive so she decided to Uber it instead. This way Rati and her partner Jip could track the car’s location and know when the car would arrive.

“I was thinking it was so early in the morning and there was no traffic, I didn’t know how long the ambulance was going to be,” she told 3AW Breakfast this morning.

Rati gave birth only a couple of hours after she was dropped off at the hospital. She was not expecting to go into labour for a month until she awoke that morning.

The driver, Daniel, was extremely calm along the way and spoke to Jip the whole way.“If I didn’t know the distance to the hospital, it would be very frustrating because of the pain I was in,” she added.
